Context
Next plc wanted to use their own platform as the basis for the Victoria's Secret ecommerce site, but needed to skin the site to maintain Victoria's Secret's unique brand.
Challenges
Although the server-side fundamentals were already mainly in place as part of Next's own web platform, the branding and detail of the site were very much still under the control of Victoria's Secret, who had very high standards in terms of the appearance and UX of the site.
Solutions
I helped an offshore team, based in Poznan, Poland to update the UI, using SASS and occasionally JavaScript to ensure that Victoria's Secret's brand guidelines and high-quality user experience was maintained.
It was also very important that the site and UI worked well for mobile users and different form factors.
Results
The Polish development team and I were able to completely reskin the website in time for the scheduled site launch.
